School Mentorship Program

Plan to Reach 50 Schools

The mentorship program will play a major role in building healthier relationships and lifestyle choices among the students both Beneficiaries and non Beneficiaries, enhance self esteem and self confidence, enhance higher college enrolment rates and higher educational aspirations. The driving force is increasing positive behaviours and reduce risk behaviour among the students. Below are our targets for each term in the school year

School Mentorship Targets

Environmental Conservation

We intend to work very close with all the public schools within our area of operation whereby they will be providing lands for the tree nursery plantation project since most of these schools owns huge under utilised lands . The organization will provide all the required technical support required and payment of water bills once agreed upon . The students will take part in potting, shading ,watering, pruning as part of learning.

Strategy for Expansion to other Sub-counties

Our strategy to reach as many beneficiaries as possible (covering the whole of Kilifi County) involves focusing on the schools that have been identified with larger number of beneficiaries (bright and needy students) as revealed by the baseline study that was previously conducted.

As an organization we shall take care of and exhaust all the needy students in the schools before we move on to the next sub-county. Through this initiative, we shall build a good rapport with the school management hence making it easier for EEI to advance its environmental conservation agenda.

We shall have a big number of students who will advocate for mass tree planting in the schools as a measure to conserve the environment and later transform it into a movement to ensure sustainability of the program.

Why Expand to Other Areas ?

Our efforts to expand to other sub-counties is geared towards satisfying our passion for youth holistic development i.e., serving the young people to ensure that the future generation explores its full potential.

Through our mentorship program, we shall educate the youth in matters Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), child rights, talent nurturing and spiritual development. We shall as well maximize on the organizational principle of partnership and collaboration by joining hands with other development partners in order to impart skills to promote creativity and innovation as well as advanced technological skills to enhance the young people’s holistic development.
